Avatar, BOTOX, & Winter Park - The Children's Hospital's unique Rx for kids with cerebral palsy
You could call it a prescription for mobility, for independence, for confidence, for self-esteem . . . a prescription for hope. A biomedical engineer from The Children's Hospital tells the story of his favorite patient and good friend Evan - the nicest kid you will ever meet. Evan has cerebral palsy (CP). CP is a term used to describe a group of chronic disorders impairing control of movement. CP makes walking and other everyday tasks a challenge for Evan. Find out how The Children's Hospital is using the same motion capture technology (a.k.a. MoCap) used in Hollywood blockbusters like Avatar, the same BOTOX that's all the rage at Cherry Creek cougar parties, and your favorite slopes at Winter Park to help kids like Evan to live better lives. Find out how Evan is giving back by teaming up with Colorado ski legend Chris Anthony of Warren Miller Films. And, find out how YOU can help.
Speaking at Ignite Boulder 10! http://igniteboulder.com/ for tickets to the May 6th event (over 2/3 of the tickets have been sold).
